A person whose criminal history covers in 1996 has just received a life sentence in prison for a crime in 2023.
Loni Terell Hawkins of Renault has been prison life and will be eligible for conditional release in 15 years.
In 2023, Hawkins was arrested after Renault police were called for a possible abduction.
The victim said Hawkins gave her fentanyl and then asked for sex for drugs. Then Hawkins kept the woman captured in her car and threatened to take her to Las Vegas and force her to work as a prostitute.
According to officials, Hawkins sexually visited the woman before being arrested and convicted.
Before his last accusation, Hawkins had four previous convictions for theft, possession of a firearm by a criminal, possessing a stolen car and an attempt to own a stolen car.
