Renault Housing Authority (RHA) has opened its waiting lists for several programs to support housing from March 3 from 8am
Available waiting lists include all public housing sites, project -based assistance, Silverada Manor assistance, and Pilgrims rest assistance to the project for persons 62 years and more. However, the list of housing vouchers is currently closed.
Applications can be submitted online to Renoha.org or personally in RHA Kiosks located in the center of the library, 301 S. Center St., Reno or in the main office of RHA, 1525 E. 9th Street, Reno. The waiting list will close on April 25 from 5pm
“The application is the first step for individuals and families who can struggle to provide homes at affordable prices,” said CEO Hillary Lopez, Doctor of Sciences. Although the application does not guarantee immediate housing, it initiates the process for receiving permanent housing at affordable prices for low -income households. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for the programs that fit their needs. Upon receipt of an application, employees will determine the eligibility for specific waiting lists.
Lopez emphasized the role of RHA in dealing with housing needs in Washoe County. “Nobody creates more maintenance, permanent homes at affordable prices in Washo district than Renault Housing. We provide solutions to the housing needs of our district through our public housing, lease support programs, and we expand the housing opportunities, helping to meet a basic need in Northern Nevada.”
RHA offers language assistance, including interpretation and translation services, for candidates that are limited to English. In addition, people with disabilities in need of special places for equal access to RHA programs are encouraged to connect with the authority of 775-329-3630 or to visit the service for help.
