Renault’s police explain a shooting protocol with an officer, following two incidents in hospitals – Colo

Reno, Nev. (Kolo) – Two shootings related to officers in hospitals have occurred in four days.

“Every time there is a firing affiliated with an officer, this agency that has participated in the shooting will contact the surrounding agencies,” said Renault Chris Johnson police officer. “For example, if the Sparks Police Department has participated in a firing at an officer, they will contact the Renault Police Department and the Washo County Sheriff under the regional officer’s registration officer.”

The first was on Sunday, February 9th, around 10:30 in the morning outside the hospital at a famous hospital where a bullet hit the hospital window.

Renault and Spark Police tracked a wanted suspect in connection with an incident of domestic violence. Police say the shooting happened when the suspect came to the area outside the emergency room.

“Then we accepted the protocol included in the regional officer. This happened within the city of Renault with Renault police. The Washo County Sheriff’s service is the investigating agency there, “added officer Johnson.

No officers were injured, but the suspect was shot dead and was taken for treatment, not a word about his current condition.

The second OIS happened on Wednesday morning around 2:30 at the VA Hospital in Renault. The Washoe Medical Review Office says 58-year-old Jeffrey Chapman has entered a hospital AP, which waves a weapon and was shot by law enforcement agencies after accusing them of this weapon.

“The VA police fall under the umbrella of the Federal Law Enforcement Agency. A separate federal law enforcement agency is the one that investigates this and this is the FBI, “said officer Johnson.

No officers were injured. No details were provided on what kind of weapon Chapman was.

Chapman’s death was a murder, the reason being numerous firearms.

Renault police say the shooting protocol included in the officer maintains public transparency.

We want to maintain public confidence and accountability. We have agencies like the sheriff of Washo County or the Sparks Police Department are investigating any firing we are involved in. There is no connection between the two incidents and there is no threat to the public.
