Reno, Nev. (Kolo) – Reno has a sled hockey team, which is part of the growing adaptive program in the city. There are 17 roselled players competing in the Pacific with teams from Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Phoenix, Utah and more.
Kolo 8 Hannah Altenburg talks with April Wolfe, a recreation specialist of the city of Renault Therapeutic and a player of the sled hockey team, along with the teammate, Austin Dunagan, for what this exhibition game means.
The team is now invited by Tahoe Knight Monsters (TKM) for an exhibition match. But at the moment, they need help sell tickets to get the opportunity to play this exhibition match in the Tahoe Knight Monsters arena. The match will happen on Saturday, March 8 from 4:30 pm – before the actual TKM match. In order to host an exhibition game, the sled team has to sell 100 tickets by Saturday, March 1, to secure its icy time. If they do not sell 100 tickets, then they cannot have this exhibition.
