Renault police arrested a suspect in connection with an incident of violence who left two people injured on the block since 1800 on Silverda Blvd. Over the weekend.
Employees responded to stabbing messages around 2:30 pm on Sunday.
After arriving, police found two elderly victims: a man suffering from stab wounds and a woman who was struck either with a baseball bat or a golf club. The suspect escaped from the scene before officers arrived.
Police have rendered first aid to the victims who were then transported to a local hospital from Remsa. Their conditions have not been discovered, but they are currently receiving treatment.
During the investigation, authorities identified suspects such as 39-year-old Danny Chuein. Employees, located and arrested Chiwaynuk on February 23 at about 4:45 pm in the 1700 block on Silverda Blvd. He is charged with two deadly battery with a deadly weapon and is booked in the Washo County Prison.
Authorities assured the public that there was no constant threat.
