Renault Man arrested after attacking an officer by car prompting a brief police pursuit – Krnv

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after being claimed to have attacked a car officer and a lead police for a brief pursuit of Renault on Thursday morning.

Police in Renault respond to the disturbance of the 400 block of Avenue Kilborne at about 10:30 am, where they found Ryan Meryl illegally to take a car. According to police, Meryl drives directly to an officer, hitting the officer’s patrol vehicle while the employee managed to get out of the way.

Initially, the officers pursued Meryl, but his chaotic driving and the danger he represented to the public led to the persecution. Shortly thereafter, 911 Dispatch received reports that the Merrill car was driving, was disabled in the West I-80 on W. Mccarran Boulevard.

The officers quickly responded to the scene where Meryl was running out of the car. It was in the area a little later and was taken in custody without increasing incidents.

Meryl was transported to the Sheriff’s office of Washo County and has been booked on numerous charges, including illegal motor vehicle claim, an attack with a deadly weapon of a police officer, two avoidance charges, two accusations of strikes and running, reckless, destroying, destroying Property and resistance of a civil servant.
