Reduction of the tape overnight coming to I -80 in sparks, starting next week – KTVN

Reductions will be made on the I-80 tape in the Sparks area next week.

The closure will begin on Monday, February 10th, and will continue until early March, as the NEVADA Ministry of Transport (NDOT) begins to replace 100 feet of average concrete barrier rail that was damaged during a crash.

Reducing the tape overnight will start on the Interstate 80 near Pyramid Way, where the tapes will be periodically reduced to one strip in each direction between the hours from 8:00 pm and 5:30 am during the week.

Ndot says that although road work was scheduled in the evening to reduce the impact on travel travel, road work schedules are subject to change based on time and other factors.

Drivers are encouraged to leave extra time for travel if traveling through this area.
