Tallahasee, Florida (WCTV) – The American Red Cross honored Big D BBQ on Thursday for “Tornado Disaster Reaction Reaction”, according to an Instagram post from the restaurant.
Big D BBQ provided food to the Big Bend Community and then after the tornado on May 10.

“We have always wanted to be able to help serve our communities during disasters, we sat down again for a year and said,” We want to be part of it and help eating communities affected by disasters. “Well, God heard our request and opened the doors,” the Instagram post said.
The restaurant said that since the most hurricane was torn through Sunshine, they distributed over 19,000 meals to the needy.
