The last release of hostages – as well as the release of hundreds of Palestinians closed by Israel – will move forward, despite the increased tension between Israel and Hamas, who blurred the future of the fragile deal to end the fire.

The exchange continues after a dispute this week, when Hamas initially surrendered the wrong body to the bibs, an Israeli mother to two young boys abducted by fighters.

The remains that Hamas transferred with the bodies of his sons on Thursday were later identified as those of an unidentified Palestinian woman.

In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised revenge for a “cruel and malicious violation” while Hamas suggested that it was a mistake.

On Friday night, the small belligerent group, which is thought to have kept G -Ja Bibas and her sons – the Palestinian Brigades of Majahedine – said she surrendered a second body.

On Saturday morning, Gi Bibas family said the Israeli judicial authorities had confirmed that the remains were hers.

Despite the dispute, Hamas’s military wing, Al Casam’s brigades, said it would continue to release the six Israeli hostages planned for Saturday. The six are the last living hostages who were released during the first phase of the cessation of fire.

These include Elijah Cohen, 27; Omer Shem Tov, 22; and Omer Venkert, 23. All three were abducted by a music festival during the attack on October 7, 2023. Tal Shoham, 40 -year -old, which was taken from the Kibbutz Beer community, is also ready to be released.

39-year-old Avera Mengista, and 36-year-old Hisham Al Saed, who were conducted after their move to Gaza alone a few years ago, are also intended to be returned to Israel as part of the deal.

On Saturday morning, hundreds of people gathered in a rainy raffa in the southern Gaza strip as Hamas prepared to release the hostages.

More than 600 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel will be released in return, Palestinian prisoners said on Friday.

The prisoners set for release include 50 serving life sentences, 60 with long sentences, 47, which were released under a previous hostage-for-prison and 445 Gaza prisoners arrested since the beginning of the war.

Hamas said he would release four more bodies next week, completing the first phase of fire. If this plan is implemented, Hamas will keep about 60 hostages, about half of which are thought to be alive.

Hamas said he would not release the other captives without a permanent ceasefire and complete withdrawal of Israel.

Netanyahu, with the full support of the Trump administration, says he is committed to destroying the military and ruling capacity of Hamas and returning all the hostages, the goals widely regarded as mutually exclusive.
