Rechager Rachel wins £ 100 to North Ayrshire Litterlotto app – Irvine Times

Rachel-self-recognized “Womble” when it comes to collecting waste-a dedicated user of the free app that offers prizes to encourage people to bin trash responsibly.

The Litterlotto partnership of the North Irshire Council, including the Ceep Scotland Beautiful Environment Charity, offers users the opportunity to dig it to win it! By winning a monthly prize and weekly jackpots.

A monthly 100 pound cash prize is for power in northern Irshire and every time users responsibly sow a piece of garbage, they receive another entry into the UK’s weekly jackpot in the United Kingdom of £ 1000.

Swimming teacher Rachel, who voluntarily with the Irvine Clean Up crew, said: “Some of my friends are part of Litterlotto and suggested that I join. We are dog owners and often choose garbage while walking. We live in such a beautiful area.

“My dogs have a heart disease that our pet insurance does not cover. £ 100 will be of great help for her next scan. It should be calmed for this because it does not stop barking. It can be done, but it is still enchanting! ”

She said: Litterlotto is a motivational app to be part of. It is good to know that you are part of a bigger team of people who care for our environment and the problem of waste.

“It’s great to be rewarded for the effort, especially when the task seems to never end. If you use Litterlotto, then you know that you are not alone and that you can really make a positive difference.

“The whole crew of Irvine Clean Up recycles with the Council street team. The people in our group have repaired bikes that have been removed from the river and have repaired toys and pipelines that have been thrown into the bushes.

“We have an unofficial bingo card with frequent and most unusual finds. We are not just a waste of waste, we are the right Wombles – like the characters in their favorite TV show that were known for their environmental stories and message.

Throughout December 22 170 waste items were responsible for users of applications in North Irshire – compared to 19 610 items in November.
