Birmingham leaders stretched out their invincible League 1 in 16 games, but had to put up with a hard-to-worship equality when reading players for play-off.

None of the countries impressed in the first Cagey period, but everyone, with a better finish, produced enough chances for a second half to end the impasse.

Birmingham had only lost two games in the League throughout the season, with their last defeat 3-2 the opposite of Shrewsbury in November.

Reading, unbeaten in four matches in the League, entering the game and pursuing a slot with the highest six, started quickly, but rarely worried visiting goalkeeper Ryan Alsop.

Chem Campbell focused broadly, from Charlie Savage’s corner, when Allsop really had to be tested at least.

Birmingham created a little a little ahead before the break, with the early substitute of Willum Willumsson – for the injured Scott Wright in just 10 minutes – throwing away a globe from Alex Kokrane Cross.

The game came to life in the second half, with Allsop saving well from the fierce angle of Lewis Wing.

Then the blues approached twice, the goalkeeper of the home Joel Pereira stopped well from the shot of Kiran Dowel and Amadu Mbege had to clear Golin from Lyndon Dyx’s close efforts.

The deputy of the home, Jaden Werem, almost interrupted a dead end late, but he struggled with Allsop, his experience was carrying right from the distant post.

In a frantic finish, at both ends, Allsop had to save smart from Campbell’s title.
