Triple couples are a difficult achievement for any basketball player, but Grand Haven Malory Voithek’s sophomore increased Ante Friday night with a rare performance with a triple-double double in the 55-43 victory over East Kentwood.
The recently crowned MLIVE Muskegon athlete of the week showed its flexibility by registering 13 points, 11 rebounds, 11 blocks, four assists and four thefts against the falcons, while Jillian Sorel added 15 points, and Abi Sponas had 14 points for Grand Hayn.
Buccaneers opened the game 13-6 to set control of the race on Friday night and continued to give up East Kentwood down to pass to 11-1 as a whole and 4-1 in the OK Red Conference.

Reeths-Puffer 30, Muskegon 27
The missiles left 23-21, heading for the fourth quarter, but exceeded the big red 9-4 in the last eight minutes to ensure a stubborn win in Ok Green Conference and their first win over Muskegon for two seasons.
Raquel Walker finished with 11 points, six rebounds and three blocks to pace of ReetHs-Puffer (4-8), while Ashlin David added seven points, 11 rebounds and five blocks and Grace Tindal had five points.
Jail Martin finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead Masquegon (5-7) while Timmer Hunter added eight points and six rebounds.

Mona Shores 42, Caledonia 37
The sailors kept the lead by 24-19 at the half and detained the fighting Scots to only three points in the fourth quarter, as they lingered for an impressive victory at OK Green Conference Action on Friday night.
Logan Clausen finished with 16 points to tempo of Mona Shores (10-3), while Katie Phillips added 15 points, Lainy Russell had six points, and Madi Russell had four points.

Kent City 56, Lakeview 38
The Eagles kept the lead by 30-23 at the half and continued to pull away from Lakeview down the section to achieve an impressive victory at the CSAA White Action.
Kenzi Freeland finished with 20 points, including four 3 stories, and added seven rebounds and three thefts to Kent City (9-3), while Lainy Hoffman added 13 points, four assists and four thefts, Haley Camfuis had eight points and Three struggles, and Milah Moley had six points, two fights and two thefts.

NEWAYGO 36, Reed City 25
The Lions used a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter to back away from Reed City for a stubborn victory at CSAA Red Action on Friday night.
Gabby Arnie finished with 10 points, five thefts and four struggles to achieve a non-union (9-2), while Ruby Hughes added eight points and 12 rebounds, Kij Schulz had seven points, and Naomi Schilman had six points.
“It was a victory for the girls tonight,” Nayaygo coach Nate Thomasma said. “Reed City threw us several different defenses and we reacted well. We also bounced well and contested photos. “

Ludington 64, Oakridge 18
Orioles jumped to 21-7 leads in the first quarter and continued to go around the Eagles on Friday night in the actions of the Western Michigan conference.
Madeline Kenyan and Jordin Anderson scored 14 points to pace of Ludington (10-3), while Peyton Welch added 12 points, Jalin Laard had nine points, Eliana Jerusal had seven points, and Kelsey Bowman had five points.
Destiny Bowen scored eight points to lead Oakridge (2-10) while Cambria Guentard added six points.

Central County Mason 54, Holton 41
The Spartans used 19-8 runs in the second quarter to create some separation with the Red Devils and continued to move down the section to take a convincing victory at the Western Michigan conference on Friday night.
Malory Miller finished with 22 points to lead Mason County Central (5-7), while Jacey Meyer added nine points and three thefts, and Hannah Tourrow had eight points and seven rebounds.
Cayley McMila scored 12 points to lead Holton (4-8).
“These are never easy games after I got off the dismissal, but I was pleased with the efforts in the average two fourth tonight,” said Mason County County County County County Bryan Bey. “We continue to look for 32 minutes of constant basketball, but I was really pleased with the defense efforts during some sections within our zone.
“We have some really good contributions from many children tonight. Jessica Peterson and Hannah Tourrow have knocked down a few big shots and Malory continues to score at a great pace for us. “

Wildcats held a narrow 18-17 half of the half and used 10-2 in the third quarter to repel themselves from the Vikings and take a hard victory at the West Michigan conference on Friday night.
Bryilin Bullema scored 14 points to tempo Montague (8-3), while Addie Peterson and Addison Presnger added eight points.

Delanie Young scored 15 points to lead the North Masquagon (5-6) while Caroline Lamiman added 12 points and Emma Buchmiller had eight points.
“We had nine goal scorers tonight and everyone contributed,” said northern Masquet coach Jill Young. “My girls rushed and worked as always. I am a big fan of the Haspery Girls’ Basketball Program. All the smaller schools go through recovery times and do it with class and enthusiasm. They have great coaches who keep their players positive. “
Saris Conclin scored four points to lead Hasperia (0-10), while Alice Wishman and Kali Cartchevo added three points.

West Michigan Christian 42, Testament for Grand Rapids Christian 39
The warriors kept a lead by 23-18 at the half and gave up the charges down the section to take an impressive victory on the road without a conference on Friday night.
