Randy Arozarena Buying in Over for Seattle Marinrs Lazaro Montes – Sports Illustrated

Seattle Marinrs presented some of the most promising baseball perspectives during the first week of spring training.

Mariners started camp in a large league with seven players ranked in the lists with the best 100 perspectives on Baseball America and MLB Pipeline. And many of these minor Leguers have performed well so far.

One of these perspectives is the outfield Lazaro Montes. And one of Seattle’s stars is the most native he buys in over 2024 in the MVP California League.

Marinrs left player Randy Arosarena, trained with Montes in the extra -season in Miami. And Arosarana had praises for Montes in an article written by Seattle Times Sean Quinton:

“I think he will be one of the best in this game very soon,” Arozarena said this week through Marinors translator Freddie Llaos. “… If he goes on the right path, he will really be in the specialties and he can become a star if he continues this sequence he does.”

Montes talks about Arosine workouts earlier in the Big League camp. Montes said he had taken some tips from his colleague Cuban. Montes also complied with how well he performed Arosine and their home country in the big leagues.

“One of the things for us like the Cubans we carry is how competitive we are,” Montes said through a translator. “And to see [Arozarena] Bring this to the main leagues, this is something I really admired. Because wearing something from our culture in this league is special. “

So far, in spring training, Montes has traveled 2-5 with three runs and three RBIs, which all came out of one household.

Montes has been designed to call since 2026, according to MLB Pipeline. Arzinen was under contract until 2026.

If Montes debuts in his main league when screened, he and Arosine is likely to be teammates of the main league together.
