Edge Kyle Kennard and Running Back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders have been declared the All-ALL-AMERICAN for 2024 by College Sports Communicators, the organization reported on Wednesday. Sanders and Kennard are the first Gamecocks to receive honors from the first team after Joe Reeves in 1991.

Kennard and Sanders put the “student” in the athletes, achieving high levels of success on both the field and in the classroom. Sanders won a recreation and sports diploma from the University of Arkansas before being a degree in South Carolina, where he published 3.88 GPA.

Gamecocks landed the former All-SEC, who went back to the transfer portal last season. The 6-foot and 230 pounds back from Rockledge, Florida carried the ball 183 times for 881 and 11 touchdowns, adding 316 yards and two touchdowns to the air.

Kennard won his South Carolina service management diploma, where he published 3.64 GPA. Kennard transferred to Colombia after spending his previous four years in Atlanta with Georgia Tech’s yellow jackets. Kennard won the Nagurski Award, which is given to the best defender of the nation every year. It ended 2024 with 11.5 bags and 16 waste rates.

Sanders and Kennard were key players, helping Gamecocks reach their best season from the Spurrier era with 9 wins in 2024. They left Colombia with the latest inheritance of hard work on both the field and outside the field.
