Public schools in Topeka Fifth grade accused of child pornography – Yahoo! Voices

Topeka $ 501 teacher was accused of possessing sexual abuse of children.

On Wednesday, the fifth grade teacher of the State Street Elementary Joseph Dube, 34, was accused of one number of possession of child pornography and sexual examination of a minor.

DUB is accused of conscious access and has materials depicting minors, young than 12 years of sexually explicit behavior. He appeared his first appearance before the US magistrate judge of the US District Court for Kansas County and pleaded guilty.

Dub is still in custody and his next hearing is scheduled for Monday.

Aarion L. Gray, Director -General of Instruction Services, said Dub was on administrative leave of $ 501.

“We were not aware of the incident arising from the school property by law enforcement,” Gray said. “The staff questions are confidential, therefore, no additional information is available at this time.”

The US Secret Service and the Kansas Investigation Bureau are investigating this case. Assistant American lawyer Steve Hunting is chasing Dub.

Possible penalties include 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of $ 250,000.
