The Peach State 2024 Summer Theater season – Five Boys named Moe, Annie and the 25th Annual Putnam County Bee – won seven Talahasi Awards by the Seven Broadway.



The Peach State Summer Theater again won the favorite local theater title, which makes this the third consecutive year PSST is recognized as its stage at the show theater.
The PSST production of Five Boys named Mo won the best ensemble and the best musical, while Annie was declared the most good theater for the production of young audiences.
Timothy Gines won two awards – the best choreography of a play or a music and the best direction of a musical – for “Five Boys named Mo”. Kameron Porter won the best support artist in a play for “The 25th Annual Putnam County Bee”.
The Peach State Summer Theater received a total of 50 nominations in 13 categories from 2024 at the Broadway World Tallahasee Awards.

As of Wednesday, May 14, all owners of the Peach State Peach Summer Theater will have three exclusive days to book priority places before the cashier opens to the public and start selling single tickets.
The Peach State Summer Theater, or PSST, is Georgia’s premiere professional summer theater. Every summer, dozens of singers, dancers, technicians, managers and creators gather at the State University campus in Valdost for approximately 10 weeks, and during that time they rehearse, build and present three musicals in the rotating repertoire.
The Peach State Summer Theater launched in 1990 as a festival of the Musical Theater on Jekyll Island. In 2005, the Summer Theater Program moved to the VSU campus and was renamed PSST. Hank Rion serves as the artistic director of the Peach State Summer Theater. H. Duke Gutri is the managing director.
Georgia’s legislation has identified the Peach State Summer Theater Official Music Theater of the State Georgia.
