Protesters are blocking the World Trade Bridge’s traffic – KGNS

Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Larendo police are expecting some significant traffic delays due to protests that are happening on the Mexican side of the World Trade Bridge.

Police are applying surgery to help facilitate traffic in the area. In addition, officers recommend that everyone stays aside on the western lanes on a contour 20 that travels to Mexico.

Nuevo Laredo employees say the protests are happening due to the security measures imposed by the Mexican National Guard, which cause long delays and checks.

According to Mexican officials, protesters blocked two sails on the Mexican side of the World Trade Bridge.

In order to ease the movement, the mayor of Nuevo Laredo, Carmen Lilia Canturosas, met with commercial officials on Wednesday, February 26th.

So far, Mexican officials have said the International Bridge is still closed.
