Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance will return to North Carolina on Thursday for a town hall event.
The town hall will be hosted by Turning Point PAC and Turning Point Action and will be held in High Point.
Turning Point says many students remain undecided voters even days before the Nov. 5 election. Turning Point said it will work to ensure the audience includes “students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and backgrounds, as well as political leanings.”
“In 2020, Gen Z represented 1 in 10n voters. In 2024, it will be up to 1 in 6 – 40 million voters will come from Gen Z, and as such they are a critical part of the electorate for either side of the court,” said Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point PAC & action at a turning point. “As someone who spends a lot of time with Gen Z, I can tell you with authority, their interests, questions and concerns differ from Millennials, Xers and Boomers. They grew up in America, where they are expected to downsize the American dream. They fear climate change and are the most depressed of any generation that there is a new wave of Americans who refuse to settle for less than their parents. They want to hear directly from Harris/Waltz and Trump/Vance what they are going to do to correct course for young people raw, unadulterated and unscripted, I can’t wait to hear what JD Vance, the youngest candidate on both tickets, has to say , to the North Carolina college crowd.”
The event will be held in the engine room at Congdon Yards, 410 W English Road in High Point.
Doors open at 8am and the town hall starts at 10:30am
