President Day Protest: A rally in Louisiana State Capitals is aimed at Trump, Musk, Dog – WWNO

More than 150 people gathered in the State Capitol in Baton Rouge on Monday to protest the actions of President Donald Trump since he entered office four weeks ago.

The protest was the second organized by the Grassroots 50-50-1 movement. This means 50 states, 50 protests, one day. The first took place across the country on February 5th.

As the president’s day is a federal holiday, more people have been able to attend this demonstration.

Among their concerns are the role of Tech Magnet Elon Musk plays in the administration and the huge cuts of federal officials. Protester Connor Welch is concerned that Musk and his Domia officials (the Ministry of Government) are not responsible.

“I believe Elon Musk has bought the presidency and we are watching Donald Trump’s puppet be the Elon Musk puppet,” Welch said. “And he is in complete and complete control not only of the Presidency, but also of the inspections and balances of our government, not only the checks and balances, but also for the check book, and it is very scary.”

Welch says he will continue to protest against Trump’s executive orders, which have caused chaos and confusion in the federal government.

“And I welcome someone to the democracy movement. It is a movement that is not specific to political parties or political ideologies. It’s a movement for actually trying to save these political ideological differences, “Welch said.

Many of Trump’s executive orders face legal challenges, but this has not stopped him from moving forward with the rest of his agenda.
