Beaverton, Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) – The winner of the Powerball multimillion -dollar jackpot has been identified.
According to Oregon lottery, 79-year-old Abbas Shafi claims that the $ 328.5 million award money that was won in January.
Shafii bought the Powerball winning ticket on January 17 at Fred Meyer at the SW Walker Road.
Lottery staff said Shafii took the option for a lump sum worth $ 146.4 million.
“I’m glad I won Powerball and plan to use my award for travel, investing and sharing my luck with non -profit organizations that are close to my heart,” Shafi says in a statement.
Fred Mayer won a $ 100,000 bonus for selling a jackpot ticket. The store has announced that it will donate $ 50,000 to the Oregon Food Bank to help the local community.
