A 24-year-old Florida man was sentenced to 32 years in prison for luring three boys through online games and social media.
The Scottsdale Police Department launched an investigation in 2023 after the National Center for extinct and operated children received a cyber advice from a mother who discovered sexually explicit images and messages on her 11-year-old son.
Police found that the messages were coming from Jacob Lozano to Florida, whom the boy met while playing Fortnite, according to a message from the Prosecutor’s Office of the Maricopa County.
An undercover detective, presenting himself as the victim, began sending messages to suspects, who continued to send explicit images to himself and sexual abuse of children.
“During the investigation, police found two more victims in Maricopa County, which Lausano sent messages to Discord and forced to make videos over a webcam,” the message said.
Lozano has pleaded guilty to two allegations of sexual exploitation of a minor and three charges of attempting to carry out an aggravated bait of a minor.
“Jacob Lozano found an online playground for the child and uses it as a means of his own satisfaction,” said Maricopa Rachel Mitchell County District.
“I congratulate the parent in this case, who paid great attention. She saw what her son was getting through his online games and called the law enforcement agencies. This is the kind of alertness that pays for her child and children everywhere. ”
