SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement has arrested a suspect in connection with a police shooting and a standoff at a Topeka home.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a crash investigation in the area of the Expocentre, 1 Expocentre Drive in Topeka, according to Topeka Police Lt. Jason Schumacher.
During the investigation, officers were led to the 1500 block of SW Shunga Drive where one person from the incident was located at a residence. While officers continue their investigation, a person fired shots from inside a residence. No employees were injured.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m. On Friday, police arrested Marvin L. Park, 57, of Topeka, on wanted charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, criminal threatening, battery and driver’s duty to report an accident.
