Chesapeake, Washington – Three children and a woman are dead after a barricade situation in Chesapike, police said.

Police are currently on the scene of the killing in the Mirror Rural neighborhood near Welcome Road.

The details are currently limited, but the public information employee of Chesapik police Leo Kosinski has confirmed that three minors and a woman are dead.

Policeman Kosinski says the police received a call to check the well -being around 6:55. When officers arrived, they found that a person at the residence was armed and the incident became a barricade situation and the Swat team was called.

Kosinski says that after a little over an hour of negotiations, the officers were aware that they died minors were inside the residence. They made an entry and a woman was found with a self -inflicted firearm, along with three minors.

Police say the criminal investigation is ongoing.
