Newark, De – Delaware State Police are investigating a suspected armed robbery that took place Saturday morning at the Four Seasons Smoking Outlet in Newark.
The incident occurred on January 25, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m., when an unidentified suspect entered the business located at 638 Plaza Drive. According to preliminary findings, the suspect, described as a black male wearing black clothing, allegedly jumped on the counter, threatened an employee with a knife and began taking tobacco products.
Before fleeing the scene, the suspect allegedly punched the employee. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, authorities confirmed.
Delaware State Police Robbery Unit 2 detectives are actively pursuing leads in the case. Surveillance footage and images of the suspect are not available at this time.

Law enforcement reminds the public that the investigation is ongoing and emphasizes that all allegations remain subject to due process. All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
