Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Newark – Mychesco tobacco outlet

Newark, De – Delaware State Police are investigating a suspected armed robbery that took place Saturday morning at the Four Seasons Smoking Outlet in Newark.

The incident occurred on January 25, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m., when an unidentified suspect entered the business located at 638 Plaza Drive. According to preliminary findings, the suspect, described as a black male wearing black clothing, allegedly jumped on the counter, threatened an employee with a knife and began taking tobacco products.

Before fleeing the scene, the suspect allegedly punched the employee. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, authorities confirmed.

Delaware State Police Robbery Unit 2 detectives are actively pursuing leads in the case. Surveillance footage and images of the suspect are not available at this time.
