Well, WM Phoenix Open knows something or two about playoffs.

Nick Taylor won the TPC Scottsdale tournament a year ago on the second playof hole. It was the sixth playoff of the tournament in the last nine years.

There are 21 playoffs in the history of the tournament, a dozen since the tournament moved to the TPC Scottsdale in 1987, lubricating the numbers, in these 38 events in TPC there is approximately the playoff every three years of moving the stadium course.

What can make a playoff a little extra nervous for fans than players is that the last round of WM Phoenix Open always precedes Super Bowl. The golf is planned to end around 16:00 local time (18:00 et), and the NFL title game usually starts around 4:30 pm Arizona time (6:30 pm).

An exciting last round of golf at a popular event like this can make a great warming up for Super Bowl, but fans always want to see a drop of Putt Putt before the start.
