Plan for a new barn in Durham Village Farm County, presented to the Council – the North Echo

BJS Farms Ltd, run by Janet Xuel, has applied for the construction of a general -purpose agricultural building on Knavesmire, hamsters.

The proposed barn will measure 24 meters, 11.88 meters wide and 5.9 meters high in the ridge.

It will be used on the farm with 29 hectares to house a modern animal husbandry facility, which aims to strengthen the welfare of animals and breeding.

The building will cover 216 square meters and will be located 35 meters from the closest existing structure.

The barn will be made of gray concrete panels with a roof leaf with fiber.

One side will have an open power barrier.

The application states that the structure will not be used for storage of livestock, suspension or sewage sludge.

The barn will not violate any ancient monuments, archeological sites or listed buildings.

It is more than 25 meters away from each trunk or classified road and is visible from a public road or pedestrian walkway.

The application, seeking preliminary approval, was signed by Janet Xue on October 15th.

The farm has been in agricultural use for nearly 10,000 years, which shows its long -term dedication to agricultural activities.
