Richland, Wash. – PFLAG BENTON FRANKLIN hosts a birth certificate clinic in Richland on St. March 1.
Participants in the clinic at 18 or more may update their Washington State Birth Certificates to match their preferred gender, marker or legal name.
Participants must bring to their country a driver’s license or ID card and a certified copy of their court order to change their legal name if it updates their name, which will have to be sent by mail and will not be returned from the state.
A notary will be on the spot to notarize applications without cost. Only birth certificates issued by Washington State can be updated at the clinic.
The clinic works from 10am to 2pm at the office of Pflag Benton Franklin at 719 Jadwin Ave., Ste 24.
