Petry of baseball wins a pair of pre -season honors – South Carolina Gamecocks

Cary, NC – South Carolina University Jr. Outfilder/Infilder Ethan Petri has been appointed to the Golden Spikes President List, US baseball, announced this afternoon (Friday, February 7). Petri is one of the 55 players on the prize list given to the best player in an amateur baseball. Petri was also appointed to the National Association of the Association of Baseball Writers (NCBWA) The President of the All -america Third Team.

This is the second consecutive year in which Petri has been on the list of pre -season observations of the Golden Spikes Award. He enters his junior season with an average career value. Last season, Petri played in 61 matches with eight couples, triple, 21 home tracks and 53 RBI, while listed in the regional team of NCAA All-Raleigh and CSC Academic All-District Team.

Petri was named the second team of President All-American both from Perfect Game and by D1 baseball and was a pre-season selection from the first All-SEC team.

Petri joins Texas A&M Jace Laviolet, Arkansas Vyiva Aloi, Cam Callela on Clemson, Devin Taylor in Indiana and Nolan Schubart in Oklahoma, as players who appear in the list of pre -season observations for the second consecutive season.

Carolina will open the 2025 season on Friday, February 14th, with 4pm play against Sacred Heart in Park Park.
