Winston-Salem, NC: On Sunday, February 9, 2025, the icy lions in Penn State in Penn beat Virginia Techi Hicky in the game of the ACCHL Championship with a 5-2 end result. Acchl owns 3 weekends on the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds championship hockey. 
The first weekend included the premiere division, the highest of the D2 leagues supported by ACCHL.
The quarter-finals were held on Friday, with UNC-Chapel Hill defeating Unc-Wilmington 3-0. Virginia Tech beat Rider 3-2 in the second match of the tournament. The NC State was afterwards, beating Rowan 6-2. The last game of the evening saw the number one ranking of Penn State Squeak from the University of Maryland 3-2.
The semi -final Saturday saw Virginia Tech escape with a 3-2 win over NC State. Then the Pen State beat Hill Chapel with a score of 4-1.
On Sunday afternoon, Virginia Tech would take an early lead, but it will fall on Penn State 5-2. Penn State freshman Ben Groer would win the MVP at the tournament.
Then he is the teams of Elite Level with a game in matches on Thursday, followed by the quarterfinals on Friday, the semifinals on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.
