Since South Carolina is just five days since the opening of its 2025 season against Sacred Heart, the new head coach Paul Manniei has been challenging for Gamecock fans.

Meeting the media last week, manners speaks of the importance of fans to fill Ray Tanner Field at the founders of the park. Remembering the times in which he brought his LSU tigers into a hostile crowd Gamecocks.

“How many times have I brought a LSU team here. I don’t remember seeing an empty space in the stands that ever come here. We have to return it,” said Mainiri.

Last season was a year for what was a historically great Gamecocks baseball program. The completion of the relic regions is not what the team meant. Now taking up as a head coach, Mainieri hopes that the founders of the park can again be a terrible atmosphere.

“That matters,” Manners said. “This inspires our players, intimidates the other team. And it’s just more good.”

Gamecocks fans have their first chance to fill the stadium this week in a series of three games, as the first terrain against Sacre Heart is set for February 14 at 4:00 pm (ET).
