Scotsdale, AZ (Azfamily) – Employees helped save a participant in the WM PHOENIX open, who jumped into a Scottsdale channel on Tuesday, and sent an officer and suspect in the hospital.

It happened in the area of ​​Frank Lloyd Wright and Greenway Hayden Loop.

Five police officers arrived at the scene after the man entered the water.

They saved the man from the channel, but during the rescue they suffered minor injuries.

The man was arrested but taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The hospitalized officer will be fine.

The suspect has been against allegations of resistance to arrest, penetration and aggravated attack.
