Parades change due to rain forecast – WBRZ

The Mardi Mardi Gras Baton Rouge Parad on Sunday, February 23, was canceled due to rain in the forecast, according to police.

Outside the Capitol area:

Tibodo city leaders have adjusted Krewe of Shaka and Parades Krewe of Ambrosia, scheduled for this Sunday. Krewe of Shaka will now roll on Tuesday, March 4, and Krewe of Ambrosia canceled its parade for the year.

Slidel police postponed the Krewe of Dionysius parade. It was moved on Friday, February 28th.

In New Orleans, Mystic Krewe of Barkus posts to be a Sunday parade in the French Quarter. It will now be held on March 9 at 2pm.

Also in New Orleans, tHe escapes from the female fatalCarolton and King Arthur will already be held on Tuesday night, starting at 5:30 pm instead of Sunday.

In parish Jefferson, tHe Krewe of Atlas Parade will now roll on Thursday, February 27, just after Symphony Krewee, instead of Sunday, February 23rd. The Symphony Crem will roll at 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
