Chesapike Panters (33) Karson Frecka (33) rises to score two of its 12 points in a 59-46 win over Alexander Spartans in the Division County Tournament 5. ))
Chesapeake-Karson Frecka canceled 10 points per second, and the defense has been pressured after halftime to help Chesapeake Panthers publish 59-46 victory over Alexander Spartans on the opening round of the Ohio Division Tournament 5.
The Panthers have finally got the chance to take the court for the first time since they fell as a rival of Fairland in double overtime in an emotional and intense game on February 12th.
And while the bets are higher now than last week, the intensity was just not quite there for the Panthers at the beginning of the game.

Ethan Perkins (left) of Chesapike Panters blocks the defender from the ball while he arranged in a 59-46 win over Alexander Spartans in the Division District Tournament 5.
“I do not think we were guarding the intensity we had to play in the basketball tournament to be successful,” said Chesapiker’s coach Stephen Ater. “I thought we were too passive and that left them to accommodate.”
Maddox Kazee managed to score 7 points in the first quarter and help the Panthers overcome a slow start and close the frame by 9-0 run and lead 16-4 leads in the second. Caden Perkins added 5 in the period.
In the second, it seemed that the panthers warmed up when John Cooper Barker made results from the back to give the panther lead with 20-7 at the 5:33 brand.
But the Spartans would make up their own to return to the game.
Mason Morris would get the hot hand for Alexander (7-16), scoring 11 points in a quarter -Inclusively two withdrawal of 3-indicatives to help the Spartans close the deficit up to 24-20.
Morris finished with a game of 17 points to lead the Spartans offensively. The senior guard also collected 2 assists and 3 fights.
Alexander’s performance was stopped shortly before half, when Philip Taker sneaked into a threesome from the corner when the time expires to give the panthers a lead in the 7-point at the break.
The Spartans would go out and cut Chesapik’s lead to two after Isaac Waller scored an assist from Claston Hawk. But that would be the closest that the Spartans would get the rest of the road.
Perkins and Ethan Cerns would sink 3-tellers during the third to help the Panthers (20-3) in the offensive end.
Then, in the protective end, the defense began to exert the intensity up with a pressure in the back, and one of the main catalysts for it was Perkins.
“I thought the protection of Caden in the second half was huge. His pressure in the ball was huge, ”Ather said. “And I challenged it to halftime. We need to be sure that he is pushing and starts to head his defense. “
After a slow start in the first half, Frecka made its biggest contribution to Panthers after halftime “Especially In the fourth quarter.
“Carson had a really good second half, ending around the rim and made his free throws.” said Ater. “He was huge throughout the year when he received opportunities.
Freka scored 8 points in a quarter, including 5 of 5 of the foul in a quarter, to help the panthers run in double digits.
Freka continued to finish the night with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.
“My fake shooting is something I struggled with a little, shooting about 75%, which I want to become,” Freka said. “But I was glad I was able to do them all tonight.”
The big game of Frek for the night came at 4:07 to the fourth, when he grabbed a long bounce and took power on the flip, climbed and pulled out the foul and made the arrangement. The fake then sank the free throw of the old-fashioned 3-point game to give the panthers a 55-42 lead at that moment.
“I came out flat in the first half, I think we all did it. Then in the second half I think we turned it a little more. I realized I had to go more to the boards, “Freka said.
Kazi and Perkins ended the night with 14 points to lead the Panthers offensively. Thacker and Kerns chip in 7 in victory.
In the end, coach Attar was glad to get the victory and move to the next round.
“At the end of the day, he survives and progresses. At this point of the year you do not receive stylish points. It’s a good idea to win your last home game. I thought it was good for the elderly. “
