RB Carsyn Baker (6-2 190) visited South Carolina four times in 2024. He made his first of at least three visits for 2025. Last weekend for Junior’s day on Gamecocks. He was greeted by chief coach Shane Beimer and Beck coach Machal Blacuel.
“It was a great visit. What was great was to meet many of the staff. It was like my fifth visit there, “Baker said. “I’m just connecting with Coach Blackwell, coach Beimer and coaching staff. I really felt like I was a priority for them, as they made me feel like one of the best players and the key to their dialing class for the ’26 class. “
Baker rushed to 1282 yards and scored 15 touchdowns last season. He had 1371 universal yards. On the visit, Beimer and Blackwell again explained to him how he could be a major piece in their crime in 2026.
“How can I be used in the insult and all that and that,” Baker said. “If I get here, what can I do. They broke the movie about how I can be explosive in their insult the way they use their backs and how I can make them much better. “
Baker obviously has a serious interest in South Carolina based on the number of visits there. This last visit further advanced this interest.
“It was a very opening eyes to me,” Baker said. “I feel very well from South Carolina. They have definitely hardened as one of my best five schools and I will continue to attend and continue to become more intensive for them. “
Baker said he would return to USC for spring practice and also plans to schedule an official visit.
Baker visits Georgia over the weekend before USC and he will visit Kentucky this Saturday. Wildcats coach Mark Stope was on Wednesday. Ohio coach also visited this week and he plans to visit the bouquets officially. And Clemson Beck coach CJ Spiller also visited this week. The tigers did not offer.
Baker said he would decide after his official visits and before his season.
