Oregon State Beavers Add Experienced DC AKEY to staff – Sports Illustrated

Rob Aki has seen everything.

As a student in Weber, in the late 1980s, he was arranged on the protective line, in the linear body and even made a click in a narrow end.

As a coach, he worked as a defense coach, a protective coordinator, a special team coordinator and a head coach. He has worked with elite programs of Division I NCAA as Florida, he has worked with programs in the Pacific northwest such as Washington and Idaho and has two coaching stays in NFL.

Now the next chapter of his career will be written in Corvalis.

The 35 -year -old coaching veteran joins Trent Bray’s coaching staff as a team Special Assistant to the Chief CoachS Previously, he spent the last six years as a protective coordinator at Central Michigan (MAC), and his role handles comments that Trent Bray has made to Oregon’s Last month, after taking over the responsibilities of the defense coordinator: He plans to hire an analyst with an attempt at a coach to help him.

Prior to training in Central Michigan from 2019-2024, AKEY recently served as a Florida Defense Assistant (2017), the Washington DC NFL (2015-2016) and Minnesota Vikings (2014). He was the head coach in Idaho from 2007-2012.
