Keep Utah American

Utahns must admit that HB226 and HB87 are just stepping stones in the aforementioned bigger actions that do not represent American values. Utah is a country that has been introduced by travelers seeking asylum. Now it’s not the time to close the door of others to do the same.

These house bills should not prevent you from holding the doors open to immigrants. Penalty of convicted criminals and the preservation of Utah is needed. But keeping immigrants is not the solution. The solution is to focus efforts on criminals committing dangerous crimes. This should be the case if these bills are focused on public safety.

Utahns must remain vigilant as more actions are offered to keep immigrants. These actions can be masked as public safety or other initiatives for good results. These house bills are just the beginning of something more bigger and more common.

Immigration is American

This is the American way of promoting reasonable immigration policies and a fair attitude towards immigrantsS This should be emphasized in Utah, not neglected. Many immigrants from all over the world had resided quietly in the country long before Trump arrived in Washington, Colombia County

If our nation continues to limit immigration, then the statue of freedom loses honesty. The statue sign supplies a message symbolizing the hopes and dreams of immigrants and refugees entering the country.
