One fatality while Learjet collides with a parked G200 during a trip on the Scotsdale track – Flightglobal

Fire service staff confirmed a fatality from a collision at Scottsdale Airport after Learjet 35A experienced a track trip and hit a parked Gulfstream G200.

Learjet touched the track 21, but diverted on the left side and continued to the apron in front of the southwestern jet center.

He struck the right fuselage of the G200 on the wing of the right board, such as the inertia of the impact, leading to the pushes of the G200 of the G200 along the ground.

Learjet seems to have lost some of his landing during the excursion.

Southwestern Jet Center, a private business aviation hangar, is located about 3,500 feet on track 21, on the southern side. The track is 8.249 feet long.

Airport aircraft and coordinator at the Airport at Scottsdale Kelly Queester, speaking during a briefing, said he had encountered another privately owned business aircraft.

The track was temporarily closed as the emergency services attended the scene.

The public information employee of the city of Scottsdale Dave Folio said the airport fire station had received a signal at 14:39 on February 10.

The crew of foam vehicles reaching the scene has requested additional maintenance, including Hazmat’s protective locals for surrounding buildings.

Foil says five persons participated in the accident, one being fatally wounded and two were transferred to a hospital for immediate medical attention.

Both executive aircraft are registered in the US, G200 as N199DF and Learjet as N81VN.

FAA’s US Diagrams for Scottsdale Airport show that the airport fire station is adjacent to the southwestern jet center. Notam’s information about the airport states that part of a taxi B near the jet center is closed after the incident.
