Decatur, Ala. (WAFF) – One person was arrested and another person was wanted after a shooting that happened on February 8 in Decare.
According to a police station in the decarp, the employees responded to the Tavern of a Gendo, located on 1015 6th Avenue for shooting and attacking outside the parking business.

Police said that when employees arrived at the scene, they found a victim of men with injury injuries and a vehicle that was shot. The victim was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital and has been released ever since.
During the investigation, authorities said the suspect had been identified as Gilbert Lane Nicks.
Police said another person with Nix was identified as Marcus Maurice Jones.
During disputes, police officers said it was definitely that Nix and Jones fired shots.
Nix shot shots that hit the victim’s vehicle and graze his back. Jones shot shots, but employees said nothing had been hit.
Following a further investigation, it was revealed that Jones had sentences from past crimes and was a person who was forbidden to own a firearm.
Police said detectives had received NIX orders for two charges of attack in second degree and shooting in a occupied vehicle.
Jones were also received for certain persons for banned from possessing a firearm, reckless threatening, threatening, and disposal of firearms within Decare’s city.
On February 19, 2025, NIX was arrested and transported to Morgan District Prison and remained on a $ 15,000 bond.
