Omier wins the 80th Double-Double career, makes Baylor to the UCF season, 91-76-KPLC

Waco, Texas (AP) -Norchad Omier collected its 12th double-spirit of the season, and the 80th of its career, and Baylor beat the UCF 91-76 on Saturday to sweep the Big 12 Conference series.

The BlueFields senior, Nicaragua, went into the game, bound by Oscar Robertson and Michael Brooks, for the ninth of all time in double couples. After scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, he is already bound by Malik Rose as the eighth.

Mustafa Tiam knocked 3 with 6:09, staying in the first half to give the knights (13-10, 4-8) a lead of 25-21, but Omier struck a pair of the line, Jeremy Roach scored in the basket and Robert Wright III Hit 3 to put Baylor in front to stay. The bears surpassed the UCF 17-11 the rest of the road to take 45-36 half.

The Big 12 Freshman of the Year VJ Edgecombe has returned to Baylor to score 17 points with five assists and a pair of thefts. Aside, the Edgecombe bears lost by No. 13 Texas Tech 73-59 on Tuesday. Langston Lav scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Jaden Nun and Jalestin added 12 points, as the bench contributed 40 points to Baylor (15-8, 7-5).

Keyshawn Hall scored 19 points and dropped eight rebounds to lead UCF, which lost its fourth direct match and now dropped six of its last seven. Tiam hit 3 of 4 beyond the rainbow and ended with 18 points, while Darius Johnson and Jordan Ivy-Perri contributed 12 and 10 points respectively.

Baylor played at 6 Houston on Monday. The UCF plays host 8 Iowa on Tuesday.
