Old Topeka Crolley Stop, damaged by the winter storm set for new plans – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Shawney County Commissioners have heard new shelter plans that transferred during the Gage Park Snow Storm on Monday.

The shelter was originally used as a stroller stop for the town of Topeka.

The Park Director and the Rection Tim Laurent believes that the stroller stop comes from the Potwin neighborhood and somehow ends up in Gage Park.

Laurent says they would like to change the shelter by including it on their main train.

“I hope we could include it on our main train. I do not know that this can be a complete stop, but it can be, we talked about this about the carousel building in future repairs, so we don’t want to see this to disappear, we would like to adjust it. ” said Laurent.

Laurent says no budget for the project has been defined so far.
