Wilmington, Oh – After a warm Monday, a strong cold front will sweep through Ohio overnight, wearing a sharp drop in temperature and chances of rain until Tuesday. The maximum will fall from nearly 60 degrees on Monday to the low 40 Tuesday, with the lower levels immersed near freezing.

According to the National Meteorological Service, Patchy Rain can develop late on Monday night, increasing on Tuesday night. The winds will be shifted from the northeast at 8-10 miles / h, adding to the cold.

By Wednesday, a constant rain is expected, with a 70% chance of rainfall in the afternoon. Thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday night as temperatures are retained during low 40s. The rain will continue on Thursday before giving way to a more dry but more cold conditions.

Drivers must be prepared for smooth roads and reduce visibility during peak rainfall. If you are traveling on I-71 or US 68, leave extra time and check the road conditions.

Looking forward, temperatures will remain below the average, with the maximum struggling to reach the 50s. Expect mostly sunny but frosty conditions until Friday. Be in the course of changing forecasts and prepare for wet trips.
