Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police confirm that an officer died after an officer firing.

Police respond to messages to an individual armed with a pistol on Tuesday afternoon near Lone Mountain and Camino Al Norte.

The officer found a suspect and executed commands. The suspect approached the officer and a shooting was exchanged.

Officials report that the officer has been shot repeatedly and is taken to UMC.
