Wilmington, de -The authorities are investigating a police -related firing on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Wilmington during a drug surgery.
The incident took place around 1:00 pm near the intersection of the 10th and the streets of Kirkwood, where the drug members, organized crime and Deputy Prime Minister of Wilmington conducted an investigation. The police tried to stop a suspect by a 32-year-old man who was supposedly escaping a vehicle. During the pursuit, the suspect was reported on a sidewalk, prompting an employee to throw away his firearm, hitting the suspect once.
Police have provided assistance to the scene until paramedics arrive. The suspect has been transported to a hospital, where it is currently stated in stable condition. It is said that criminal charges against suspects are waiting for an additional investigation.
No officer injuries have been reported.
The Wilmington Police Criminal Investigation Department, the Delaware Professional Standard Office and the Ministry of Justice are involved in a continuing investigation into the incident. The officials have indicated that additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
