Offered Oleander Drive entertainment center with one step closer to becoming a reality – Wect

Wilmington, NC (Wect) – an entertainment center with a bowling alley, pickle cakes and arcade can come to Oleander Drive. Although it is in the planning stage, it is a step closer to turning into a reality.

Strike LLC wants to bring the entertainment center of 40,000 square feet to 5601 Oleander Drive.

The developers have submitted the proposed plan to the Wilmington Planning Commission.

They explained on board that the area is the ideal place for the development of such a business due to the growth of the population.

“When we looked at the market, understanding that Dave and Butters was coming to Meifeire and then at the center of some of the things we potentially know could appear in the future, Oleander Drive seemed to be the best place for us,” says David Edmonds , Strikes LLC Project Manager.

The ground is close to the jungle Rapids, bats and boards and restaurants.

The Wilmington Planning Commission agrees that location is a good factor. They also evaluated that developers are considering safety for drivers.

Strike LLC will bring a traffic light to Oleander Drive and Dogwood Lane.

The potential neighboring business believes that it is necessary to view traffic on the lively Oleander street.

“They offer a stop light that will be great because it is difficult to get out of the dollar general right there at the corner,” says Larry Casey, owner and operator of Casey.

Casey’s is a Southern Soul Food restaurant that has settled for the proposed property for about 20 years. The owner believes that a big business like this can strengthen his own business.

“I think it would be great for the business here. I think it will fill the avoidance, one of the bowling alleys came out and this is strategic in the middle of the county. I think it will be a nice thing, “Casey says.

Wilmington’s planning council agreed with developers to give the plan recommended approval.

This means that it will now be presented to the Wilmington Municipal Council on March 3.
