Details:

  1. Update: Several of the vehicles, which were swept into the massive mud of the 330 highway, are already visible in daylight and appear to be left with a way to be removed.
  2. A new video shows that 3 other vehicles have been washed and find themselves in a massive bay and appear to be cemented. After talking to Cal-Trans, it was stated that they had no idea how they would remove the vehicles.
  3. In addition, the mud is massive and extends at least a quarter mile along the 330 highway from where it originated. Cal-Trans continues to work to clean the roads and states that they hoped at 330 to open later today.
  4. Around 7:30 pm, the first responses received numerous reports that several cars were trapped in a big mud on the 3:30 highway.
  5. With CHP and radio traffic, several vehicles were not only trapped in the mud, but were pushed out of the way to Dere.
  6. At least 6 people have been reported trapped in vehicles.
  7. During the arrival of firefighters, they found that one of the vehicles was hardly on the verge of dropping out.
  8. The other few vehicles were eventually pushed from the side and were not even visible from the road.
  9. We tried to shine a spotlight down into the ravine, but we barely managed to see the reflection of some of the vehicles.
  10. Of the head of the Cal-Trans, who was on stage. “Some of the vehicles were pushed down into the ravine and were buried quite deeply”
  11. Miraculously, when a fire arrived, they were able to safely save all residents of their vehicles and were not reported injuries.
  12. Caltrans demanded a full closure of the 330 highway from Live Oak in Running Springs all the way to Highland Ave.
  13. The highway remains closed as Cal-Trans Pio explained that it could take hours or even have to wait until the day to start cleaning the mud, debris and restore vehicles.
  14. Per Chp Cad at 4:55 h. The 330 highway remains closed.
  15. The full scale of the mud was difficult to see in the dark at night, but it was obvious that the size of the slide on the mud was at least the size of a football field.
