Dodge County authorities have identified 80-year-old Leonard Nielsen of Fremont as the victim of a fatal three-car crash that occurred Friday afternoon northeast of Fremont. Nielsen was driving a GMC pickup truck southbound on Luther Road when his vehicle was struck by a Mustang traveling eastbound on Interstate 30. The collision sent the pickup truck into a ditch, and the Mustang then struck the GMC Yukon. Nielsen was transported to Methodist Fremont Health, where he died from his injuries. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
