Now 17 Minnesota, Wisconsin Counts remain under Winter Storm Warning – B105 Country

After a little slow start to the winter, February certainly delivered the time we expect at this time of year in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

We already had snowstorms and bitter cold and that was right in the first week of the month. After some new snowfall in the middle of the week, the National Meteorological Service was expecting another round of snow over the weekend.

For this reason, large parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin were placed under the winter meteorological advice in preparation. There was also a part of every country that was on the path of something worse, so a warning about the winter storm was issued.

While the greater part of the consultations on winter weather conditions are wound, such as some places such as Dulut, the superb zone does not get very new snow, it was not the case in other areas.

In fact, there are still a few winter storm warnings that will remain in force on Saturday night, so if you have plans for traveling this weekend, you will want to be aware of where the highest driving conditions can be found.

Winter Storm Warning # 1

Here are the official details of the Winter Storm Warning, including the cities of Princeton, the Elk River, Alexandria, Sauk Rapids, Little Falls, Mora, St. Cloud, Long Praria and Cambridge.

This warning will be the first to expire on February 8, as it is currently in force until 15:00. NWS says the snow will stay in the afternoon and in the evening, with several periodic outbursts.

• What: Strong snow. Additional snow accumulation up to one inch.
• Where: Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs and Douglas.
• When: Until 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 8th.
• Impacts: Expect slippery travel conditions.

Winter Storm Warning # 2

Here are the official details of the Winter Storm Warning for the cities of Chippeva, Menomony, Oseola, Rice Lake, Ladismith and City Center. The warning will remain in force until Saturday night.

The snow will stay in the afternoon and in the evening, although several periodic larger snow outbursts are possible, especially over Eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. NWS expects the main effects to accumulate snowfall and slippery road conditions.

• What: Strong snow. Additional snow accumulation between 1 and 2 inches.
• Where: In Minnesota, Chisago County. In Wisconsin, Barron, Polk, Rusk, Chippeva and Dunn.
• When: Until 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 8th.
• Impacts: Expect slippery travel conditions.

Land Warning Stirkovo #3

Here are the official details of a winter storm warning about the cities of Neilsville and Medford. The warning remains in force on Saturday night.

The accumulation of snow deposits over 6 inches have already been reported through parts of
Counts Clark and Taylor, who created dangerous travel conditions in this warning zone.

• What: Strong snow. Additional snow accumulation up to two inches.
• Where: Counts Clark and Taylor.
• When: Until 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 8th.
• Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will probably become smooth and dangerous. Plan for slippery road conditions.
