Novant Health Airlink helicopter involved in an incident near Pender-NEW Hanover County Line-ABC11 Raleigh-Durham

Wilmington, NC (WTVD) – An incident related to a medical aircraft happened on Monday night in East North Carolina.

There were few details available, but the incident included a Novant Health Airlink chopper.

According to ABC WWAY branch, this happened near Sidbury Road and Island Creek Drive near the Pender-New Hanover County Line.

A spokesman for Novant Health said three team members were aboard the helicopter. All three were taken to a hospital for evaluation.

There were no patients on board, the spokesman said.

“We are focused on the welfare of the flight crew, their families and members of our team,” the spokesman said in a statement. “We are still in the original phase of response and collection of information and we have limited information on sharing. We appreciate the quick help of all the first reactors who help us tonight.”
