The Florida State Seminoles were one of the biggest upsets of the 2024 college football season. On Saturday, they lost once again at home against the North Carolina Tar Heels by a final score of 35-11.
With the win for North Carolina, they improved to 5-4 this season. With the loss to Florida State, they fall to 1-8 on the season. It’s been a rough season for Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell. College football fans have been consistently going crazy for him this season.

To no surprise, college football fans on Twitter again slammed the Seminoles head coach after the loss against the Tar Heels. Here’s what fans had to say about the Florida State head coach:

Hard to understand. He is coming off an undefeated regular season. He was recruited by the state of Florida and was a great coach in Memphis. There is no reason FSU could ever be 1-8 with the history of the program and the HS talent in Florida.

After 9 games played, FSU is officially the worst Power 4 conference program on the season. The only other Power 4 conference program that has just 1 win is Purdue.

Notre Dame takes on the Irish’s next opponent
The Florida State Seminoles next opponent will be the visiting Notre Dame Fighting Irish this weekend. Florida State has a chance to do the funniest thing this weekend and derail the Fighting Irish’s playoff chances this season.
Last season, the Seminoles missed the playoffs after finishing the regular season undefeated, and it was just a four-team playoff back then. Chances are, Mike Norvell and his team will be blown out on the road once again next weekend.
