Northern Nevada Girls Basketball: Reno, Spanish Springs, Reed Down the Stretch – Reno Gazette Journal

The Spanish Springs Basketball Team ranks first in the standings. But since Renault beat the Coogars two weeks ago, the Husky is the highest ranked team in the RGJ Power ranking with a week to play.

And the Pyramid Lake ended the winning series of North Valley with a 57-51 victory on Monday night.

This is the last week of the regular season in basketball at the Nevada High School with regional playoffs, starting on Monday in class 4A-north.

The game for the game is at 7:00 pm on Monday, McQueen in Galena. This winner will play the best seeds at 19:00 Wednesday. All quarterfinals of 4A regional basketball girls are at 19:00 Wednesday. The semifinals are on 19:00 Friday, and the championship is set for 15:00 Saturday, February 15 in Spanish Springs.

Only the winning team of the 4A-North regional tournament receives a place in the state this year. South 4A teams receive three beds in the state tournament.

The semi -final matches 4A will be in Valley High School in Las Vegas on Friday, February 21, at 15:00, 16:40, 18:20 and 20:00; The championship matches are on February 22 at Pavilion Cox in Las Vegas.

NIAA will determine which teams get which slots in the state when matches are set after the regions.

  4. Pyramidal lake (20-5): last week: Beat Sage Ridge/ROP (75-15); Beat Sage Ridge (61-17); Defeat the northern valleys, 57-51). Next: Thursday in Smith Valley; Saturday against Virginia City.
  5. Northern valleys (19-4): Last week: beat Truckee (51-24); Lost by Lake Pyramid (57-51). Next: Wednesday against hug, Friday against Wooster.
  6. Fang (18-6). Last week: Beat Lowi (47-36). Next: Wednesday in Dayton; Friday in Fernley.
  7. Lowry (13-6): Last week: lost by Fallon (41-36). Next: Wednesday in Fernley; Friday in Dayton.
  8. Farli (18-5): last week: beat Elko (46-36); Beat Spring Creek (50-37). Next: Wednesday against Lowi; Friday against Fallon.
  9. Bishop Manog (12-12) last week: lost by Spanish springs (50-39); lost by Renault (46-36). Next: Tuesday against Carson.
  10. Evrika (17-2): Last week: beat Carlin (41-10); Beat Owyhee (44-24). Next: Friday in Wales, Saturday in Jackpot.
